These board-certified specialists are affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and New England Medical Center.

In addition to diagnostic services, our perinatologists are available to arrange transfers to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or New England Medical Center if needed, and to provide consultative care at all times.

Center for Breastfeeding Support
Although breastfeeding is a timeless way for mothers and their children to bond, it is also a learning experience. At the Center for Breastfeeding Support, we are committed to helping new mothers succeed with breastfeeding.

Our registered nurses are skilled in supporting new mothers breastfeed. From prenatal education, through your hospital stay, and after discharge, our certified lactation consultants and counselors will be available to help you. In addition, we offer post-partum breastfeeding consultations if you are experiencing difficulty after you have been discharged from the hospital.

If you have any questions, you can also feel free to call our Maternity Careline at (508) 383-1469, which is answered by an experienced registered nurse 24-hours a day. Post-discharge consultations, support groups, and assistance for mothers planning to return to work are also available.

Special Care Nursery
In addition to our nursery for well babies, we offer a Special Care Level II Nursery that provides comprehensive care to premature and sick infants. The Special Care Nursery is located within the maternity unit, ensuring that mothers can remain close by when their babies require special monitoring.
