Intensive Care

When intensive care is essential, the MetroWest Medical Center Intensive Care Units (ICU) have the staff and resources to provide close observation of patients with complex medical, surgical or psychological concerns. Framingham Union Hospital has a 10-bed unit, and Leonard Morse Hospital has an eight-bed unit.
ICU nurses have advanced training in critical care and cardiac care, as well as advanced cardiac life support (ACLS). Patients' families are encouraged to visit and support their loved ones.
