Volunteers play a vital role at MetroWest Medical Center. There are more than 200 caring volunteers at Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital supporting staff in various departments throughout the hospital. The commitment is 4 hours per week for 4-6 months.
All volunteers are required to have 2 TB screenings, administered in our Employee Health office and produce a health record from their primary care physician showing their immunization record.
Summer applications for students will be accepted until April 12th. Summer volunteer positions are limited. Applicants will be placed based on need and availability over the summer. Student volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and available to make a commitment of one to two days a week for 3-4 hours a day during the months of July and August. Students will receive a schedule at the time of placement and will be expected to adhere to their schedules throughout the summer.
