MetroWest Medical Center (MWMC) has been named one of the Boston region’s top hospitals in the 2016 edition of “Best Hospitals” produced by U.S. News & World Report. Hospitals earning recognition by U.S. News & World Report demonstrate strong performance treating common medical and surgical conditions. MMMC’s Heart Failure and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) services were highlighted as “high performing” in the report.
The recognition by U.S. News & World Report is the latest in a series of commendations MWMC has received from independent, external organizations. Other recognitions MWMC earned this year include a safety score of “A” from the Leapfrog Group, the American Heart Association’s Gold Plus Award for Stroke Care and Silver Plus Award for STEMI (Heart Attack) Receiving Center Performance Achievement, and the 2015 Health Grades Distinguished Hospital Award for Clinical Excellence (Top 5% of the Nation).
