MetroWest Medical Center chosen for Worksite Wellness Initiative

Apr 26, 2012
The Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Working on Wellness Initiative selects public and private employers from Massachusetts to participate in a wellness initiative for 1 year. It  is an evidenced based toolkit  program that offers training, development, engagement, technical assistance and support to employers  both, large and small, to develop an infrastructure in their organization to address the needs of employers and employees on improving the health of employees. This initiative is to help employers build both sustainable and expandable wellness initiatives to engage employees to be healthy at work  and prevent chronic disease, which ultimately creates a happier, more productive workforce. There is evidence that supports that Worksite Wellness programs not only improves individual employee health but reduces sick leave absenteeism, reduces healthcare costs, reduces workers’ compensation, and produces a savings.  This year MetroWest Medical Center was chosen as one of twelve companies to work with them on this program!  For more information visit!
