Message from the Program Director

Thank you for your interest in the Internal Medicine Residency of the MetroWest Medical Center Framingham Union Hospital.

We are proud of more than three decades of Graduate Medical Education at our institution. Our diverse group of residents and faculty are important members of our Worcester hospital family and our community. The small (24 residents) program allows maximum faculty/house staff interactions and an excellent evaluation system.

Residents care for patients with a broad array of diseases in a "real-world" setting, and enjoy a healthy balance between patient care duties and education. Our graduates consistently obtain excellent positions in both primary care and fellowships; many have gone on to careers in academic medicine.

We are proud of the extensive learning opportunities we offer to residents and look forward to welcoming you to our program.

Thomas Treadwell, M.D.
Internal Medicine Residency Program Director
