MetroWest Medical Center is now accepting student volunteer applications for Summer 2015.
Criteria for Student Volunteers: Student volunteers must be at least 15 years of age and available to make a commitment of one day a week for two to four hours, for a minimum of seven weeks over the summer. Please be sure you can commit to that prior to submitting your application.
Summer student volunteer positions are limited. Some summer student volunteer duties include: assisting with clerical and receptionist tasks, refreshing water pitchers for patients, running errands, and general help on units. Students will receive a schedule at the time of placement and will be expected to adhere to their schedules throughout the summer.
Application process: After the application period closes on April 17, 2015, all student volunteer applications will be reviewed and volunteers will be selected based on the number of student volunteer positions available and various other criteria. Student volunteers are not accepted based on application date.
Deadline for students to submit applications for Summer 2015: April 17, 2015.
Students interested in the summer volunteer program should contact Maura Peterson, Director of Volunteer Services at 508-383-1605 for more information and an application.
