Do you know what an Athletic Trainer does?

The Sports Medicine Program, staffed by experienced physical therapists and certified athletic trainers, is focused on returning high school, college, and recreational athletes to their optimal function.

Our Sports Medicine team approach is directed towards relieving pain and accelerating recovery from injury. Our expert staff includes specially trained physical therapists and certified athletic trainers who work together – in conjunction with orthopedic physicians –to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with sports-related and orthopedic injuries.

Our mission includes 4 key components:
  • Working closely with area orthopedic physicians in the prevention, recognition, and treatment of sports-related injuries.
  • Offering intense functional rehabilitation programs to quickly and safely return athletes of any age or skill-level to sports.
  • Provide athletic training services to area high schools, colleges, and community recreation groups
  • Educating community members and sports teams on injury prevention and rehabilitation
Athletic Training in the Community
Certified athletic trainers (ATC) are allied health care professionals who specialize in the prevention, assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation of injuries and illnesses. They hold a college degree, national certification, and are state licensed.

We provide comprehensive sports medicine care directly to local high schools, colleges, and athletic organizations. Our certified athletic trainers are available to provide expertise and guidance in the athletic training room or on the playing field. They work closely with orthopedic physicians to keep the athlete in the game.
