Partial Hospital Program (PHP), Fair Building, Natick Campus
The Partial Hospital Program at MetroWest Medical Center is a short-term outpatient program for adult individuals who are in acute distress related to emotional, psychiatric, and/or substance use problems. Patients admitted to the program do not require inpatient level of care but may need an increase in daily structure, as well as medication evaluations.
What we are:
The partial hospital program at MetroWest Medical Center is a short term intensive, psychiatric and substance abuse day treatment program. It serves those whose daily functioning had been impaired due to overwhelming emotional, psychiatric or substance abuse issues.
What we provide:

Stabilization for those in acute distress

Provide education and skills to address mental health and substance abuse issues

Provide an alternative to inpatient care

Assist in the transition from inpatient care to home/school

Help find resources in the community for continued care and support

Gender specific group therapy

The Evaluation and Referral Service is open 24hrs Sunday through Thursday, and there is an on- call evaluator available as needed Friday and Saturday.

The Partial Program also offers an Intensive Outpatient Program. This program runs in a three week cycle on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00am-noon. The IOP is open ended so patients can begin the program at anytime.
