MetroWest Medical Center provides a wide variety of educational programs for expectant parents and their children.

Prepared Childbirth Classes:
This is a class that prepares the expectant couple for labor, birth, and caring for the newborn. These classes are available in Framingham and Marlborough.

The following options are available:

• An evening series that meets for
  6 consecutive weeks from 7:00 PM-9:00 PM



• An evening series that meets for
  3 consecutive weeks from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM



• A weekend class that meets Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (Refreshments)

Note: Expectant teens, 19 and under are welcome to attend any of our prepared childbirth classes for a reduced fee.

Sibling Saturday:
A single-session class geared to children age 3-7, to help them learn what to expect with the new arrival to their family.

Breastfeeding Basics:
A single-session class that is an excellent source of information on getting off to a good start with breastfeeding.

Newborn Care Classes:
Prenatal class to help you get off to a good start, information on infant feeding choices, sleep patterns, bathing and infant product safety..

Tour of Beautiful Beginnings Birth Center:
Join us for a tour of our beautiful birthing rooms, our Level I and II nurseries, and our comfortable postpartum rooms. All prepared childbirth classes include a tour. Free group tours are offered monthly.

ADDITIONAL SERVICES
Electric Breast Pump Rentals:
Hospital-grade electric breast pumps are available for rent. Light weight portable breast pumps are available for purchase through our office. Some necessary accessories are available for purchase.

Staffed by a team of RN Lactation Counselors and Consultants, Call 508-383-1469.
