Pain Management Program
About our Program
MetroWest Medical Center offers a pain management consultation service for adults (18+) who are experiencing chronic or acute pain. Our clinicians are specialists in the diagnostic evaluation and treatment of persistent pain. Patients must be referred to the program by a physician. The referring physician will receive copies of all findings and recommendations from the initial exam and subsequent visits.
The patient’s care will be returned to the referring physician when our Pain Program physician determines that the patient is stable and/or no longer requires the services of the program. Because our program is a consultation service, the patient’s referring physician will be responsible for long-term care and medication management. We are available to re-evaluate patients as needed. We do not provide detoxification for patients with addiction problems.

The Pain Program Consultation Form is filled out by the referring physician. The form, along with any pertinent medical notes, may then be faxed to 508-650-7595. Information is also accepted over the phone during our hours of operation. We prefer to contact the patient and set up the initial appointment through our office so that we have an opportunity to answer any questions he or she may have regarding the program.
