Living Well Rehabilitation Program

Dedicated to assisting cancer patients in living well throughout all stages of recovery

The rehabilitation department provides individualized evaluation and treatment of patients to assist in managing and minimizing the potential side effects of cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy, radiation, and limitations after surgery.

The goal of the Living Well Rehabilitation Program is to provide state-of–the-art rehabilitation services in order to maintain or improve a patient’s quality of life throughout any stage of treatment and recovery. Our specially trained therapists are dedicated to providing the highest quality of care close to home for the MetroWest community.

Specialized Services include:
  • Physical Therapy— Address Lymphedema and range of motion limitations and provide therapeutic exercises. PTs also assist in pain reduction and restoration of functional limitations such as walking, getting up from a chair, or getting in and out of a car.
  • Occupational Therapy— Work on maximizing the ability to participate in activities of daily living. This may include energy conservation, relaxation therapy, safety assessment, equipment recommendations, and the management of cancer-related fatigue.
  • Speech Therapy— Address treatment of speech, voice, language, and swallowing.
The Living Well Program is conveniently located at MetroWest Medical Center Rehabilitation Services Dept.
