MetroWest Medical Center’s Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive Collected 18,975 Servings of Cereal

Because Breakfast Doesn’t Take a Summer Break

Framingham and Natick, MA – MetroWest Medical Center is pleased to announce that it donated near 19,000 servings of cereal during its Healthy Over Hungry® Cereal Drive, which ran from June 1-8, 2018.

LMH Behavioral Health department donationsLeonard Morse Hospital employees collected 12,939 servings for A Place to Turn. A Place to Turn is committed to providing emergency food and clothing to our neighbors in the Metrowest community.

Framingham Union Hospital employees collected 6,036 servings for the United Way Pearl Street Cupboard & Cafe. The United Way’s Pearl Street Cupboard & Café at Park serves through their mission to give support to individuals and families who find themselves experiencing economic and personal challenges by providing food assistance.

“I am very grateful for the support shown by our staff and community during this year’s cereal drive,” said Jeffrey Liebman, chief executive officer MetroWest Medical Center. “We wanted to help lead the fight against hunger in the communities we serve and it is very exciting to share that we exceeded our 2018 goal of 7,500 servings by more than 11,000 servings!”
