MetroWest Medical Center Welcomes New Chief Nursing OfficerMar 11, 2019
Framingham and Natick, MA – MetroWest Medical Center is pleased to welcome Dr. Susan Mangini as the Chief Nursing Officer.
“I am from the MetroWest region, having grown up in Framingham and Holliston,” shared Dr. Mangini. “I worked as a housekeeper at Framingham Union Hospital while in high school. The desire to help patients and love of people resulted in my pursuit to become a nurse and attend Framingham Union Hospital School of Nursing. In the role of Chief Nursing Officer, my goal is to make a positive difference for MWMC and the community. I plan to work collaboratively with all members of our healthcare team while sharing my skills, knowledge and experience to continuously improve processes and systems in the pursuit of excellence in patient care. MetroWest is home to me.”

Dr. Mangini earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Previous roles include Vice President of Patient Care Services and CNO at various hospitals in Massachusetts. She currently resides in Hopkinton, where she’s lived for the past 25 years along with her husband, Michael, and daughter, Cristina. The two mottos Dr. Mangini says have helped to guide her life are “Always keep the patient needs central to all decision” and “Life will always put you in a place where you are needed”.
