- Permitted Visitation
• Non-COVID-19 patients
• Compliance with Visitor Guidelines required - Restricted Visitation
• COVID-19 positive or Patient Under Investigation (PUI): Virtual visits only
• If visitation poses a significant infection control risk to the patients, visitors or staff
• Exceptions may apply (CMO, hospice, birth partners, parents of patients who are under the age of 18 years old, attorneys of patients, companions for patients with intellectual and/or physical disabilities)
Conditions of Visitation
- Hospital visiting hours: 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
- Visitors must :
- Perform hand hygiene upon entering and exiting the hospital and the patient’s room
- No eating food or drinking in patient’s room
- If requested to leave the patient’s room, for any reason, visitor must wait outside
Exceptions
Visiting hour restrictions do not apply to the following:- Birth partners
- Parents of patients who are under the age of 18 years old
- Companions for patients with intellectual and/or physical disabilities
- CMO, hospice patients
Behavioral Health Units: (no change)
- Hospital visiting hours: 8 am – 8 pm
- Limited to one adult visitor for each patient for 30 minutes per day.
- No visitors will be allowed on units in which there are patients who are positive for COVID-19 or under surveillance for COVID-19.
- Every unit will have a designated area for the visitors.
- Visitors must:
- Perform hand hygiene upon entering and exiting the unit
- Remain in the designated area at all times
- No eating food or drinking in the designated area
- Staff will escort visitors to the designated area
- Staff will escort visitors out of the unit once the time limit of the visit is completed
Masking Guidance
- Visitors and Patients WITH respiratory symptoms are required to wear a mask. i.e., cough, runny-nose, sore throat, fever and/or a potentially contagious illness that can be spread by breathing or coughing
- Visitors and Patients WITHOUT respiratory symptoms are no longer required to wear a mask
- Masks continue to be available for those who choose to wear one
- Visitors and Patients may continue masking and ask their caregivers to mask based on their preference and comfort level
- Masking remains strongly encouraged for individuals who have increased potential for developing severe disease
An exception to any limited visitation policy at the hospital is patients with disabilities who require support from family members or staff in order for them to effectively communicate with medical personnel or otherwise receive equal access to medical treatment.
