MetroWest Medical Center Collects 60 Coats For Local Families

Jan 26, 2023
FRAMINGHAM – MetroWest Medical Center (MWMC) employees collected more than 60 coats and accessories for local families in need through a coat drive.

The families receiving the coats are from the local MetroWest area.

The families will all now be able to stay a little warmer this winter. Both Framingham Union Hospital and Leonard Morse Hospital employees participated in the drive.

The hospital’s January coat drive is in honor of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

With MLK Day celebrated this month, the hospital staff wanted to find a way to give back to the community in his name.  In addition, MLK Day is the only Federal holiday that’s also designated by Congress as a National Day of Service – a “day on, not a day off,” to encourage all Americans to volunteer and provide meaningful change in their communities.

MetroWest Medical Center is the largest community health care system between Worcester and Boston. It provides services in two locations: Framingham Union in Framingham and Leonard Morse in Natick. MetroWest Medical Center is committed to meeting the health care needs of the area residents by providing advanced medicine and personalized care, right in the local community
