MetroWest Medical Center Welcomes Wound Healing Center Physician

Mar 23, 2023

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – MetroWest Medical Center’s Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center announces Dr. Stephanie Oliva, MD, has joined the MetroWest Medical Center’s Wound Care team.

MetroWest Medical Center (MWMC) offers comprehensive wound care services, including hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) therapy. MWMC’s HBO therapy is an advanced treatment using a special chamber to deliver high concentrations of oxygen with increased atmospheric pressure to promote healing.

Dr. Oliva attended medical school at Rutgers’ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and completed her residency at the University of Colorado Swedish Family Medicine. Her interest in the care of chronic wounds started during her residency as she sought additional wound care learning opportunities and training. Following completion of her training, she has cared for patients in various wound care settings. Dr. Oliva really enjoys caring for patients to help steadily heal their wounds and get back to the activities they enjoy.

In her spare time, Dr. Oliva enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, hiking, camping, the beach, and movies.

The MetroWest Medical Center Advanced Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Center is dedicated to preventing loss of limbs, healing hard-to-heal wounds and providing treatment for the optimum outcome for patients. The types of wounds treated include diabetic foot ulcers, non-healing surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, crush injuries, post-radiation injury to tissue or bone, among others. The wound healing center has a multidisciplinary team of physicians, along with nurses and technicians, to customize the most effective treatment plan to stimulate healing.
