Download and transmit your up-to-date health information, all from the convenience and privacy of your own home, or anywhere Internet access is available — 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

With your patient portal, you can:

  • Privately view some pathology, radiology and lab results online.
  • Access health records such as immunizations, medications and allergies.
  • Download health records to easily share with doctors.
  • Save time by paying health bills online.

Use the Apple Health Data app for iPhone users as an additional way to access your health records.

You must enroll in person at MetroWest Medical Center to access all the benefits of My Health Rec. Talk with a member of your care team during your next visit to learn more. Read the frequently asked questions below for more information.

My Health Rec FAQs

Yes, if you can access your email via computer, smartphone or other mobile device and also connect to the Internet.

Blood pressure values (systolic and diastolic) are being displayed as two separate values. Blood pressure values are currently listed in alphabetical order so diastolic will be listed first. Plans are underway to have the two values report together.

Currently, making online appointment and/or cancellation requests is not an available option with My Health Rec.

Currently, prescription renewal requests are not an available option with My Health Rec.

Yes. A single login can be used to access multiple accounts. Also, aging parents can have their children access their accounts.

Most common lab test results will be viewable in My Health Rec, but some sensitive results are not currently available.  Some sensitive results that are not included in My Health Rec are:

  • STD screenings
  • HIV
  • Pathology
  • Radiology
  • Microbiology
  • Some cancer markers
  • Drugs of abuse, alcohol and pregnancy-related results

Parents/legal guardians can enroll their children for My Health Rec and access their child's account. Generally, patients who turn 18-years of age or join the military can restrict parents or guardians from seeing their health information within My Health Rec.

Enrolling in My Health Rec will take only a minute or two. You simply need to provide a valid email address and an acceptable form of ID, which can include:

  • Driver’s license
  • State issued ID
  • U.S. Military ID
  • Hospital Staff ID
  • Passport
  • Marriage license
  • Divorce decree
  • Adoption papers
  • Social security card
  • Birth certificate

Only inpatients can sign up for My Health Rec access at this time. Self-registration for all patients is being developed.

My Health Rec is mobile optimized, which means you can access the portal on any browser and any device with the Internet. There is currently not a downloadable App associated with My Health Rec.

Lab results will be delivered into My Health Rec 34-hours after they are resulted and entered into your electronic health record. Lab results post to the portal even if they were done as an outpatient or Emergency Department visit. The 34-hour delay applies regardless of why the patient was seen. The inpatient summary document will not be available until after discharge.

You can enroll in My Health Rec while registering for a hospital admission. During registration, simply tell our staff that you would like to open a My Health Rec account. Soon after, you will receive an email that will provide a link to establish your own login and password information.

Once completed, you can view your My Health Rec information online whenever you like. Also, you can enroll after your registration process; just ask a nurse or staff member and they can help you get started.

My Health Rec allows you to view, download and transmit your up-to-date health information. Specifically, you can:

  • View some lab results online rather than waiting for them to arrive in the mail
  • Access health records such as immunizations, medications and allergies in one place
  • Download health records to easily share with other doctors
  • Save time and postage by paying health bills online

In the future, we will expand the information you can access and enhance the portal’s features and functionality.
