Transitional Year Residency Program

Message from the Program Director

Thank you for considering the Transitional Year Residency Program at MetroWest Medical Center (MWMC). Our program offers a balanced clinical education in adult and pediatric medicine. Our mission to provide a high quality training experience that prepares physicians for advanced study in a categorical residency program.

Our ACGME accredited program is designed for medical school graduates who desire a broad clinical experience prior to entering a specialized field of study. MWMC is a community hospital in Framingham affiliated with Tufts University School of Medicine and Tufts Medical Center in Boston. It is a friendly place to work and learn.

Our graduates have been successful at securing advanced residency programs in anesthesiology, radiology, ophthalmology, dermatology, physical medicine & rehabilitation, and neurology. We participate in ERAS and have 12 positions available for the upcoming academic year. MetroWest Medical Center sponsors J-1 Visas through ECFMG.

All the best!
