MetroWest Medical Center Volunteer Program

At Metro West Medical Center we are committed to enhancing the quality of patient care with the support our Volunteer Program. MetroWest Medical Center offers many opportunities where you can become one of our valuable volunteers. We ask that a commitment of at least 4 hours a week for a 6 month time period.

To become a MetroWest Medical Center Volunteer, simply:

  1. Call us at: 508-383-2750 to schedule an in-person interview or email Addie Gibson at: adelaida.gibson@mwmc.com
  2. Applications will be emailed once an interview has taken place
  3. A complete CORI, Health Screening and Orientation must be completed before starting any assignment
  4. All volunteers are required to wear a jacket (uniform, which will be provided), proper hospital ID and sign in and out during each shift

All MetroWest Medical Center applicants must be 16 years of age or older, and will be pre-screened before being offered an assignment. Placements are based on skills, abilities, and availability of positions. Acceptance of applicants is not guaranteed.

MetroWest Medical Center Summer Volunteer Program 2021

Due to our current pandemic, the summer volunteer program will require all students to have proof of full vaccination upon applying. The MWMC Summer Volunteer Program is open to High School and College students.  Our summer program offers students with an interest in medicine the experience of working with and caring for patients in a variety of medical settings, or of working in a medical office. 

MWMC Summer Volunteer Program openings are limited and competitive. Acceptance or placement as a volunteer is not guaranteed.

Interview appointments will be scheduled starting April 12th - April 23, 2021.  

 April 26 - May 7:Student interviews will be conducted
 May 10 -  May 14:Students who have been selected will receive volunteer application
 May 21:Deadline for volunteer applications to be returned via email
 May 24 -  May 28:

Employee Health Screenings for selected College students

 June 7 -  June 11:

Employee Health Screenings for selected high school students

 June 9:

College Student Orientation.  Framingham Union Hospital @ 11 AM

 June 14 - August 6:College Students:  program Start and End date
 June 23:

High School Student Orientation.  Framingham Union Hospital @ 3:30 PM

 June 28 - August 20: High School Students: program Start and End date
